Salisbury is located in the county of Wiltshire in Salisbury district. It is one of the ancient city with churches and other historic places in the city.The city is also known by the name New Sarum which differs a lot from old Sarum.
The city is located in the south east of Wiltshire on Salibury plains.The total population of the city is 60,000 as per 2001 census. It is one of the main tourist spot in English isles where most of the foreigners visit and explore the beauty of the city with its soothing climate. Salisbury is located at the meeting points of five rivers.
Salisbury is well facilitated with railway station, which is located on West of England Mainline and Wessex mainline, which also have the facility of trains interchange facility.
