Exeter is a city and district which is located in Devon county .The city is located 60 km away from Plymouth in the north east direction. The city is located on the banks of river Exe.The city is very densely populated with total population of more than 1,50,000 as per 2001 census. The city is very well surrounded by steep hills with river Creedy joining the river Exe.
Exeter is well served with two major railway stations such as Exeter St Davids and Exeter central. There are many direct trains to Exeter which serves the city railway stations on regular basis.
Exeter central is known to be the smaller railway station in the city of Exeter. There are various local train services which are provided from this station for Exmouth, Paignton and Barnstaple.
Exeter railway station is located on West of England main line.There are many train operators such as South west trains and First great western provides services to the railway station on regular basis at different time intervals say 10-15 minutes.
